Design

The desktop comes with Dell‘s regular design we are so used to seeing. Make no mistake, the desktop looks good, and your first impression will be exactly that. For ab entry-level device, you can’t ask for more. On the front side, you don’t see a lot. There is an HD webcam that enables you to make video calls, and you can find the speaker grill right below the display.

At the back, there are a few ports that will come in handy. But the best thing on the back side is the stand. It does a great job in holding the desktop firmly. There is also a tray-load DVD drive on the right side as well. Overall, this is not an outstanding design but still works well.

Dell Inspiron i3052-5020BLK Specs

The display we have here is a 19.5-inch LED-backlit Truelife touchscreen display that comes with a resolution of 1600 x 900 pixels. This is an improved HD resolution that gives us a decent picture quality. The screen real estate is great for watching movies, tv series, and other kinds of media consumption as well. The screen is also big in terms of productivity. You can work on your office files effortlessly by opening two windows at the same time.

The touchscreen does a neat job. The sensitivity is good, and you can navigate the screen faster with the help of your fingers. With an operating system Win 10, you can get an excellent experience with a touchscreen like this.

The Dell Inspiron i3052-5020BLK is powered by an Intel Pentium N3700 processor. This quad-core processor has a regular clocking frequency of 1.4GHz that can be improved to about 2.4GHz with the help of turbo boost. Even though this is an entry-level chip, it belongs to the latest generation of Intel processors.

Dell Inspiron i3052-5020BLK desktopYou can carry on with your everyday tasks like browsing your favorite sites, social media, sending emails, streaming videos, and much more. You can also edit photos and videos as the processor can handle them to an extent as well.

There are four gigs of RAM in the memory department that support the processor nicely. This may not look like a lot of memory, but it does a good job when it comes to handling multiple things at the same time. You can run multithreaded applications as well which is a added benefit in having good RAM.

There is provision to upgrade your RAM, but we recommend not to as the benefits of doing so is very little.

For storage, you have an ample 1TB hard drive that should be enough for most of the users out there. This drive might be a tad slower than other ones in the market, but that is not a deal breaker in any way. The hard drive also comes with Windows 10 pre-loaded. It is the best Windows OS you can get right now and does a great job.

This desktop is not a gaming device. It comes with integrated Intel HD graphics and allows you to do some moderate gaming. You can play some mid-range games with reduced settings at best. If you are only a casual gamer, then this PC will do fine for your gaming needs.

The desktop supports both wireless internet connectivity and Bluetooth 4.0. There is a couple of USB 3.0 ports and a media card reader that should prove helpful. There is no HDMI port, and that’s a disappointment for many people.

Dell Inspiron i3052-5020BLK Review: The Verdict

That brings this Dell Inspiron i3052-5020BLK review to its climax. This is a budget all-in-one desktop, and it is worth every penny you are going to play. It also has the advantage of a touchscreen which is a nice addition in this price range. Get this one if you are looking for a neat AIO desktop with a touchscreen.

ASUS G11CD G11CD-US008T review

There are many gaming desktops out there in the wild. Some may work as advertised; some may be expensive than they should be and some may not be worth it. With the plethora of options available, it is really hard for a gamer to go out and get a gaming machine for himself. In this ASUS G11CD G11CD-US008T review, we plan to solve this problem.

This new desktop is primarily aimed at serious gamers who don’t want to compromise but sadly stuck on a budget. This is not an answer to all your gaming woes, but still is a good option to do some real gaming without having to spend a lot of money. Read the full review and see if this is the one for you.

Design

The ASUS G11CD G11CD-US008T model has a neat design and will create a good impression on anyone who sees it for the first time. There is a gray and red color scheme that goes throughout the product, and it looks premium. It is not only all looks but also has a few usable points as well. There are a couple of USB 2.0 and a couple of USB 3.0 ports on the front. You can also find the optical drive and also the media card reader

You can also find the optical drive and also the media card reader on the front side. These ports give you good accessibility, and you don’t have to get up and reach the backside just to reach the ports there. There are a lot of spaces for ventilation on the both the sides and the back. This should help in keeping the desktop relatively cool. Overall, this design is a very practical one and is also good on the eyes.

ASUS G11CD G11CD-US008T Specs

The ASUS G11CD G11CD-US008T is powered by an Intel Core processor. This Intel Core i7 6700 chip is a 5th gen Intel processor that comes with a clocking frequency of 3.4GHz that can be increased with the help of turbo boost. We should also note that this is a quad-core processor that has enough power to run anything you throw at it.

This processor is fine with any kind of games as the sheer processing power is huge in this case. You can also use this processor for work to run system intensive tasks as it can do that as well.

There isn’t a huge memory here as the desktop is only equipped with 8 gigs of DDR4 RAM. This memory is good enough to handle any game, and you won’t need more in the majority of the cases. Even if you think you are lagging in terms of memory, you can always upgrade it later.

ASUS G11CD G11CD-US008T gaming desktopAt the heart of any gaming desktop, is the graphics card. Here we have the Nvidia GeForce GTX 960 which is a high-end graphics card. It comes with a dedicated video memory of only 2GB GDDR5. But the GPU is capable of running pretty much any game you want without any hiccups.

You can run some high-end games like Far Cry 4, Batman: Arkham Knight, Bioshock Infinite, and other titles as well. The frame rates will be fine as long as you run in high settings. If you want to go to ultra settings you might encounter some issues as the card only has a dedicated memory of 2GB. Otherwise, nothing to complain about.

To satisfy your storage needs, ASUS gives you a 1TB hard drive with an 8GB solid state drive in it. Yes, this is a hybrid drive, and it is slightly faster than the regular hard drives out there. You still might be better off if you could install a normal solid state drive along with this setup as it will help with speed also.

Windows 10 is the OS you have at your disposal. If you had like the versions of Windows 7 and before, this new OS will be a pleasant experience. They have removed the worst parts, and the OS is now clean as ever with new features.

The ASUS G11CD G11CD-US008T desktop also comes with built-in WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity as well. You will find all the necessary IO on the back side which should keep you covered.

ASUS G11CD G11CD-US008T Review: The Verdict

This ASUS G11CD G11CD-US008T review comes to a halt here. This is an excellent gaming device at this price range and offers you a seamless gaming experience. If you are looking for a compromise-free gaming desktop in this price range, grab it.

Design

This desktop does not have a unique design. It follows the suit of the previous desktop computers and they’ve managed to put this hardware in the same shell. It will not take a lot of space in your table. You can see a couple of USB ports on the front along with some media card readers.

On the back side, you will find the remaining ports and jacks as well. There is also a fan that will keep the inside cool when things go out of hand. The HDMI port will also be handy when you need to connect this desktop to a higher end display.

Also, note that you don’t get a monitor as this is a standalone PC. You will have to get one separately and if you’re having trouble there, refer our monitor reviews section.

Dell XPS x8900-1444BLK Specs

The Dell XPS x8900-1444BLK packs an Intel Core i7 chip. This i7 6700 processor comes with 4 cores and a typical clocking frequency of 3.4GHz. This clock speed can be improved with the help of turbo boost when the need arises. You can use this processor for your everyday activities and also for some heavy lifting as well.

The memory in this desktop is made up of eight gigs of DDR4 RAM. This is what makes this a mid-range device despite having a lot of processing power. We are not saying that this is a bad thing, as you can do a lot with this memory. But more memory could have made things a bit better.

Dell XPS x8900-1444BLK desktopYou can increase the memory as it is easily upgradeable. The maximum memory we can have here is capped at 32 gigs, so be sure to stop at that.

The hard drive in this desktop is a 1TB SATA hard drive with an operating speed of 7200RPM. The storage space is sufficient for all your movies, songs, videos, pictures and other important data. This drive is not the fastest out there. You could have been benefited with an SSD, which Dell hasn’t included here.

If you can afford it, do make sure to include an SSD and make it the boot drive with the OS installed in it. This will make the boot up a lot faster, and your OS experience will be worlds better.

The operating system we have pre-installed is Windows 10. This is the latest OS if you are in team Windows and it has some really awesome features built-in. If you are a religious Windows user, you will absolutely love this.

The graphics card in the Dell XPS x8900-1444BLK desktop is a Nvidia GeForce GT 730. This graphics card comes with a dedicated video memory of 2GB and is a decent mid-range graphics chip. You can run some really good mid-range games and even some high-end games with this GPU. With some games, you will have to reduce the settings to play at a decent frame rate.

Dell XPS x8900-1444BLK Review: The Verdict

Time for the verdict. The Dell XPS x8900-1444BLK desktop is an excellent mid-range desktop for the price. It comes with a lot of processing power that is well complimented by the memory and other hardware. If you are looking for an affordable desktop that packs a punch, get this one.

Design

This is a beautiful-looking desktop computer. Though it might remind you of something else, it still is a gorgeous computer and the first impression is just wow. The stand is made of aluminum, and it does a great job holding the display. But there is no option to swivel, and the best you can do is just tilt.

The bezels around the screen might be a little too much for some but will work for the most of us. The keyboard and the mouse are standard inclusions as well. They work well but nothing special there. Overall, this desktop is a really well designed and can be a good attraction on your table.

HP Pavilion 27-n110 Specs

The HP Pavilion 27-n110 has a nice array of specs, and it shows.

The display here is a 27-inch screen that is LED-backlit, and it comes with a full-HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It is an excellent screen, and the fact that it is also an IPS display makes it even better. You can see the screen from any corner of your room and the pictures will retain the same quality.

To top the already brilliant display, this is also a touchscreen. This is a capacitive touchscreen, and the touch sensitivity is pretty good. Being a big screen, navigating this with the mouse might become a bit slow. With the touchscreen, that problem has an answer. You can navigate the screen fast and go where you want to in a jiffy.

HP Pavilion 27-n110 desktopThe processor that powers this all-in-one desktop is an Intel Core i5 chip from the Skylake generation. This i5 6400T processor has a clock speed of 2.2GHz. With the help of the turbo boost functionality, the processor itself will overclock it to a maximum speed of 2.8GHz.

Being a quad-core processor, there is no lack of power. You get a powerful chip, and that will help you run through your everyday activities like a boss. Be it simple stuff like checking email and browsing the web or some complex stuff like editing photos and videos, this processor will not let you down.

The memory in the desktop is made up of an 8GB DDR3L RAM. This is a standard memory that is enough for most of the users. Even if you are a heavy user, this memory will be okay until you do some serious video editing jobs. You can upgrade the memory if you want which gives you some freedom on this front.

On the slower side, we have the storage. It is a big hard drive with a capacity of 1TB and a speed of 7200RPM. This is not as fast as the SSDs on the market but still is better than those 5400RPM drive that a few companies push. It comes with Windows 10 as the operating system, and that works well too out of the box. It has some new features that you might end up using regularly.

Gaming is not the main purpose of this desktop. It comes with Intel HD graphics 530 and it is wat better than the previous gen integrated graphics. You can do some moderate gaming and will get decent frame rates depending on the game and the settings. It is playable, but the experience is definitely not as good as a serious gaming machine.

The HP Pavilion 27-n110 model supports Bluetooth and 802.11a/c wireless connectivities. There are essential ports like USB 2.0, USB 3.0, HDMI and other ports as well. There is also a try-load DVD writer that you might like as well.

HP Pavilion 27-n110 Review: The Verdict

This HP Pavilion 27-n110 review ends here it is verdict time. This model from HP is a classic-looking, powerful and an overall winner. If you are in the market for a neat all-in-one desktop computer that won’t break your bank, then this one is a good choice.

HP Pavilion 23-q012 Review

HP Pavilion 23-q012 review

In this HP Pavilion 23-q012 review, we are going to look at a new all-in-one desktop from HP that is mainly aimed at the light and entry-level users. The price tag associated with the product is also not that bad. If you are looking for an all-in-one solution for your computer needs, then a machine like this should interest you.

One thing to note here is that this is not a very powerful machine. There is power, no doubt, but it is nowhere near the latest Intel and AMD processors. You can get your everyday work done without any hiccups, though. Confused? Read the full review and know more about this desktop computer.

Design

The HP Pavilion 23-q012 comes with a pretty design. It reminds us about the iMac in a lot of ways but nevertheless is still a good-looking desktop computer. The build quality is impressive and tells you that this is a premium device. The stand is sturdy and fares well. You can only tilt the display front and back which is sort of a setback.

The keyboard and the mouse are pretty neat additions. Both of them are wireless, and that means no messy wires in your table. The chiclet style keyboard are great to type on while the mouse does what is expected of it. At 17.8 pounds, you can easily move this thing around if you intend to. Overall, a practical design that also looks great.

HP Pavilion 23-q012 Specs

One of the major selling points of this machine is the display. We have a 23-inch widescreen LED-backlit display that comes with a full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. This is easily one of the best displays you can get in a desktop computer. It is also an IPS panel which leads to some excellent viewing angles. The display is great for watching TV shows, streaming videos online, and other kinds of media as well.

The display is also a touchscreen and a sensible one as well. With a touch-optimized operating system in place, this touchscreen will be handier that you can think. Though we don’t see how this will be practical in a desktop computer, we’ll let you judge on that front.

The HP Pavilion 23-q012 is powered by an AMD A8 7410 quad-core processor that comes with a clock speed of 2.2GHz. This processor can reach a clocking frequency up to 2.5 with the help of a turbo, and that’s impressive. With a CPU Mark score of 2576, this processor can be put into the light or entry-level category.

The processor does a good job in running the operating system and basic applications without any problems. You can carry on with your everyday tasks like browsing the web, streaming videos, sending and receiving emails smoothly as the processing power here is sufficient for these activities.

HP Pavilion 23-q012 all in one desktopThere are 4 gigs of RAM in the memory slots. This is enough memory for a light or a casual user. You can multitask freely and do more at the same time. The memory might be borderline considering the time we live in, but should be enough for a couple of years at least (for light users). You can’t upgrade the memory, so be sure to opt for more memory if you need more.

For storage, we have a 1024GB Serial ATA hard drive with a speed of 7200RPM. This is a spacious hard drive that can be used to store all your games, videos, pictures, movies, songs, software and other important data as well. It also comes with Windows 8.1 operating system.

You can upgrade to Windows 10 easily without any issues. With a load of new features, that’s an upgrade that will do you a lot of good.

The graphics card here is the integrated Radeon R5 graphics card. This is an entry-level GPU just like the processor and allows you to run some mid-range games at best. You can try running some high-end games, but reducing settings might be the only way to.

The desktop comes with a good set of connectivity options. It has both wireless Internet connectivity and Bluetooth built in. There is also a DVD writer that should come in handy. Not to mention, you also get all the essential ports as well.

HP Pavilion 23-q012 Review: Verdict

This HP Pavilion 23-q012 review talked about the specs and what they could mean to you. This is an entry-level device and comes at a good price. For a light user, it will be hard to find a multimedia desktop like this. Go for it, if you are planning to buy a desktop that is great for media consumption.

Design

Make no mistake, this is a beautiful desktop. It comes with a nice color scheme, and the build is also very solid. It resembles the iMac more than it should, but to see it as a problem is up to you. The stand is made of aluminum and is a sturdy one. It holds the desktop well, but that’s pretty much all you get. There is no height adjustment or swiveling. You can only tilt the display to suit your view.

The keyboard and the mouse are neat additions. They work well and nothing more to say in that area. You can find the power button and the important ports on the back side of the desktop. Overall, this is an attractive design that looks and feels great.

ASUS Zen Z240-C1 Specs

The display here is a 23.8-inch LED-backlit display with a full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The display is one of the biggest selling points of this desktop, and that is with good reason. You get excellent picture quality, and the IPS panel makes up for the viewing angles as well. This screen is perfect for consuming media like movies, TV shows, and other stuff. You can also work on this monitor, thanks to the large real estate.

The processor that runs this ASUS Zen Z240-C1 desktop is an Intel Core i5 6400T processor. It clocks at 2.5GHz and can reach higher speeds with the Turbo Boost technology as and when required. It gets an impressive PassMark score and should be more than enough processing power for most of your everyday activities. You can also do some system intensive work like running codes, simulations, editing photos and videos and much more.

ASUS Zen Z240-C1 desktopThere are 8 gigs of RAM for memory here. This may not look like a lot, but it hits the sweet spot for the average mid-range user. You can multitask without any hiccups and make use of features like separate desktops on the Windows operating system. Running apps side by side can turn very good for your productivity as there is both the real estate and also the power to achieve it.

Another important feature in the ASUS Zen Z240-C1 is the graphics card. Here, we have the discrete Nvidia GeForce GTX 950M that comes with a dedicated memory of 1GB. You might get your doubts here, but this is a pretty good graphics card. You can play some really good games like Rise of the Tomb Raider, Just Cause 3, Fallout 4, and many others without any problems.

For storage, we have a hybrid drive in place. The drive comes with 1TB of storage and 8GB of solid state drive space. This is better than the regular hard drives and gives you the speed you need when accessing your favorite folders and files. The hard drive comes with Windows 10 installed on it and that’s the best you can get right now.

The audio experience deserves a mention as well. The ASUS Sonic Master premium does a good job. There are six speakers that give you excellent sound output. This helps in consuming multimedia to its fullest.

There are a lot of ports at the back. You get 1 USB type c ports, 4 USB 3.0 ports, 1 USB 2.0 ports, 1 HDMI port, 1 media card reader, and 1 LAN port. The desktop also offers support for 802.11n and Bluetooth connectivities.

ASUS Zen Z240-C1 Review: Verdict

That is the end of this ASUS Zen Z240-C1 review. It is a very good all-in-one desktop computer. For the price, the specs are justified and so are the looks. If you are on the hunt for nice desktop, this one is highly recommended.

HP Pavilion 550-110 review

It comes with a very affordable price point that seems to justify the hardware inside this new PC. Let’s dive into this review and see if this desktop computer is the right fit for your everyday needs.

Design

The design here is simple. It comes with a two-tone finish with black on the sides and with silver on the front. The front face has a design which kind of resembles the Samsung galaxy S5’s backplate design. It is not that bad, though. Another advantage of this design is that it is not as big as other desktops we are used to. So it will take less space than before.

There are 2 USB ports and a media card reader on the front which is great for accessibility. The back side plays home for the rest of the ports. The desktop weighs around 16 pounds, so moving this around won’t be much of a problem. But we hope you don’t plan to do that a lot. Overall, this desktop has a neat design and will fit in well.

HP Pavilion 550-110 Specs

The processor that runs this HP Pavilion 550-110 desktop is an Intel Core i3 chip. This i3 chip is from the Haswell generation and is also the main reason for the low price of this rig. The i3 4170 chip is a dual-core processor that clocks at 3.7GHz. It might only be an i3, but it does pack a punch.

HP Pavilion 550-110 desktopWith a PassMark score of 5172, this processor is better than many mid-range processors in the latest generation. You can do a lot with this guy around and that includes even some high-end stuff like working on photos and such.

Even though this is a near budget device, HP has included eight gigs of RAM in the memory department. This gives you, the user, to multitask without any issues. You can now have more than a few tabs in your browser and enjoy an excellent browsing experience.

This computer is not meant for a gamer. There is no dedicated video card here, and with the integrated GPU solution, you can play some mid-range games. You might be able to some AAA titles, but that will force you to reduce the settings in order to get a decent frame rate. If you are looking for a gaming desktop, this is not it.

The HP Pavilion 550-110 desktop comes with 1TB of space which should be more than enough for an average user. There is a lot of space to play with, and you can unleash all your videos, movies, songs, pictures and much more in it.

The hard drive also brings you the latest operating system in it. Windows 10 is way better than its predecessors in a lot of ways. Features like Cortana, Xbox streaming, and others ones will change the way you look at things.

There are a lot of connectivity options on this machine. You get USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports, Display ports, VGA port, HDMI port, media card reader, and also a DVD writer which can be of help as well.

HP Pavilion 550-110 Review: Verdict

We’ve come to the end of this HP Pavilion 550-110 review. This is a decent mid-range desktop but given the price you can get more out of it. If you are searching for a nice desktop computer under $500, go for it.
