In this CYBERPOWERPC Gamer Ultra GUA520 review, we are taking a good, hard look at this new budget gaming desktop from CyberpowerPC. With a very economical price tag, they have made a desktop just for gamers. Even if it is not as high-end as other machines, it still is a laudable attempt.

This new gaming desktop is targeted at mid-range or heavy gamers who are on a tight budget. It comes with a decent processor and a discrete graphics card that are good enough to quench your thirst for gaming. If you are interested in a desktop that plays games and cost less, stick with us.

Design

The CYBERPOWERPC Gamer Ultra GUA520 is one of the best-looking gaming desktops in the market right now. The black and red color scheme works well and gives you a hot desktop (in looks) to play with. The keyboard and the mouse are made for gaming, and it shows.

There is ventilation on the sides. You can also see through the cabinet in the front and the sides, and that adds a bit to the experience. There are a couple of ports and jacks in the front while the rest are located at the back. You can also find the DVD writer in the front as well.

CYBERPOWERPC Gamer Ultra GUA520 Specs

Check our monitor reviews to find a good monitor to match your needs as this desktop is a standalone one and doesn’t come with a display.

The CYBERPOWERPC Gamer Ultra GUA520 is powered by an AMD FX 4300 processor. This is a quad-core processor and comes with clocking frequency of 3.8GHz. The clocking frequency can be increased to about 4GHz when it is needed. This processor has a CPU mark score of 4636 that tells us that this is a decent processor.

Though this processor is not as good as some latest gen Intel Core chips, it does what it is expected of it. It runs the operating system without any hiccups. It is perfect for running games that fall in the mid-range category and can give a push for high-end games as well. For an entry-level gaming machine like this one, this processor does the job.

We have 8GB DDR3 memory that is pretty decent these days. It is sufficient to run most of the games without any problems. Even some high-end games run fine, so this memory should be okay for the most of us. You can also upgrade the memory, but we think that will have microscopic improvement.

CYBERPOWERPC Gamer Ultra GUA520 gaming desktopThe Nvidia GeForce GT730 is the graphics card in the CYBERPOWERPC Gamer Ultra GUA520 Gaming Desktop. This is a discrete GPU, and it comes with a video memory of 2GB and is made on the Kepler architecture. This is an average graphics card by modern day standards.

It can run most of the games with medium to high settings. If you are into online gaming, there will be no problem. As far as other games are concerned, most run well without any performance issues.

There is an enormous amount of space on the 1TB hard drive. This allows you to load your HDD with all the games, movies, songs, pictures, and videos you currently have. It is a mechanical hard drive and, as a result, you will feel that it is slow sometimes. You can upgrade to an SSD if you are keen on performance.

The hard drive also comes with the latest Windows 10 64-bit home edition. This is the latest OS you can get your hands on. It is polished OS and brings back the goodness of Windows 7 to say the least.

The Connectivity game is strong with this one. There are 8 USB 2.0 ports, an RJ-45 Ethernet port, 1 HDMI port, 1 DVI port and also a VGA port. This should be enough to help you with your connectivity issues.

CYBERPOWERPC Gamer Ultra GUA520 Review: Verdict

This CYBERPOWERPC Gamer Ultra GUA520 review has reached its end and its verdict time. This is an inexpensive gaming desktop and for the price, you are getting good value here. If you are on the search for a simple gaming desktop that won’t cost much, this is a good choice.

Design

There is no significant change on the design front. Dell went with the similar tower structure that we are so used to seeing. But if it is not broken, why fix it? Right? Dell seems to think so, anyway. There is no doubt that it is a functional design. You get a couple of ports on the front, and the rest are at the back. The ventilation can be found on the side which helps the airflow.

It is to be noted that there is no monitor included with this standalone desktop. We have reviewed tonnes of monitors in our monitor section. So if you don’t have a monitor already, be sure to check them out and find one that fits your bill.

Dell XPS 8700 X8700-2815BLK Specs

The Dell XPS 8700 X8700-2815BLK Desktop packs an Intel Core i7 processor. This quad-core i7 processor belongs to the Haswell generation, and it clocks at about 3.6GHz normally. When you need more power, the processor can be overclocked up to 4GHz with the help of the turbo boost functionality. The processor also comes with an 8MB cache that is more powerful that you can think.

This processor, though a couple of generations old, is still on top of its game. It gives you all the power you need without breaking your bank. You can use any applications, even if they super system intensive or processor hungry.

To match this processor, the memory department should be equally powerful, and that’s what you get here. There are 16 gigs of DDR3 RAM that compliments the processor in the best way possible. You can do many things at the same with a memory like this. There is nothing that is going to stop you from keeping a 100 tabs open in your favorite browser.

Dell XPS 8700 X8700-2815BLK desktopOne of the slight disappointments here is the hard drive. Dell has gone with a traditional hard drive that operates at 7200RPM. You get a TB of space, and that is good. But the speed of operation might be lesser, especially if you are used to flash drives or SSDs. They could have included an SSD, but didn’t do that for some weird reason.

The hard drive comes with the latest version of Windows and it is great. You can use some of the most recent features like Cortana and Microsoft Edge out of the box. If you have a Xbox, you can also stream your gaming right from your PC.

For gaming and graphics, the Dell XPS 8700 X8700-2815BLK comes with a Nvidia GeForce GTX 745 graphics card with 4GB of dedicated DDR3 memory. This is a pretty decent GPU and gives you the advantage of a discrete graphics card that is nice.

You can play most of the latest games at high settings. Some of the graphically intensive might require you to bring down the settings a bit. If you are a mid-range gamer, then this PC can play most of your favorite titles without acting funny.

You get all the essential ports you would expect in a modern day desktop. There are 4 USB 2.0 ports, 6 USB 3.0 ports, an HDMI port, a 19-in-1 media card reader, and also a DVD burner that could come in handy as well. The desktop also comes with Bluetooth so that you can pair your external devices without any issues.

Dell XPS 8700 X8700-2815BLK Review: Verdict

The Dell XPS 8700 X8700-2815BLK is an excellent machine. It is mainly for heavy and mid-range users, but it does bring something for everyone in your family. If you are looking for a high-end desktop that doesn’t cost you a lot, then this one is recommended.

Design

If you are currently using a traditional desktop, then you will be impressed with the design improvements here. This new desktop is not as big as the previous models and is more compact. It is shorter and takes up less space than before. It also has a nice metal brush-like finish that looks premium.

It is not that heavy, and you can move it around without too much effort. There are no ports on the front side. Though the ports at the back are reachable, it could have been better if they had included a couple of ports on the front. Overall, the design is pretty neat for a mid-rage device.

HP ENVY 750-110 Specs

The HP ENVY 750-110 features an AMD A10 8750 processor. This is a quad-core processor that comes with 12 compute cores (4 for CPU and 8 for GPU). This is a mid-range processor and can be compared with an i5 chip in terms of power.

You can run your everyday apps without any problem. You can also run most of the high-end applications without any hiccups. This includes most of the system-intensive photo and video editing applications as well. If you are purchasing this for work, then it will work just fine.

The 8GB DDR3 RAM is good for most of the activities. You can run multiple applications at the same time without losing any of the performance. There will be no issues in running multithreaded applications as well.

The graphics department in the HP ENVY 750-110 desktop is taken care of by the integrated AMD Radeon R7 graphics card. This is a decent GPU, and you play most of the recent games without any issues. You can also play some high-end games with a decent frame rate if you are willing to bring down the settings.

There is a lot of storage space in this desktop. It comes with a 2TB hard drive with an operating speed of 7200RPM. This gives you enough storage for all your games, files, videos, pictures, and other valuable data you treasure. The hard drive also comes with a copy of Windows 10 home edition which brings a lot of new features to the table.

The connectivity options in HP ENVY 750-110 are impressive. The desktop supports both wireless internet connectivity and Bluetooth 4.0. There are 4 USB 3.0 ports and also a 7-in-1 media card reader that can be useful. There is also an ultra slim tray super-multi DVD burner in case you wondered.

HP ENVY 750-110 Review: The Verdict

The verdict on this one is simple. It is an impressive mid-range desktop computer. There is no monitor here so be sure to have one with you. Apart from that minor gripe, this desktop PC is a good offering for the price and will make the light and mid-range users happy.

Dell XPS x8900-2506BLK Review

Dell XPS x8900-2506BLK review

Dell seems to have an answer to people who need high-end desktop computers. In this Dell XPS x8900-2506BLK review, we are taking a deep look at this new desktop PC that promises to be the weapon of choice for heavy users. With the hardware inside, we have to say that it could be true.

This desktop is a great fit for heavy and mid-range users. There is also a discrete GPU, and that means it could attract some gamers as well. Well, stick with us as we figure out how good this thing is and tell you if you should invest your hard-earned money on this one.

Design

Nothing much has changed as far as the design is concerned. Dell takes the tower design and improves on it a bit here and there. You see the same specifics with a few ports on the front and the rest at the back. Space for ventilation is at the backside, and there is also a fan that should keep things relatively cool.

Since this desktop is not the most compact of devices out there, you are going to dedicate some space to it in your room. The desktop also weighs around 15 pounds that may or may not affect you depending on your needs. Overall, a pretty common design that doesn’t have too many flaws.

And yes, there is no monitor included. Get yourself one separately. If you are struggling to find one, be sure to check out our monitor reviews page and select something that impresses you.

Dell XPS x8900-2506BLK Specs

The Dell XPS x8900-2506BLK is powered by an Intel processor from the Skylake generation. This is the latest 6th chip, and this i7 6700 processor is probably the most powerful processor you are going to get your hands on at this price range. It comes with a clock speed of 3.4GHz, and there is turbo boost as well.

You can run anything and everything with this power and that’s a lot of power. There is no lag whatsoever, and you will not face any performance issues as well. However, if you plan to overclock the CPU, then make to add on some cooling as things might get a little heated.

The memory department is a big upgrade here with a 16GB RAM. What’s the upgrade there, you ask? Well, it is not the regular DDR3 RAM we are used to, but the latest DDR4 RAM that is way better and faster regarding performance. If you are a serious multitasker running high-end apps side by side, you will see the difference.

Dell XPS x8900-2506BLK desktop computerFor normal usage, there won’t be that much of a difference. The performance will be smooth, and you won’t come across any lag during your juggling acts. And as this is a desktop, you also have the option to max this RAM out as well.

One of the biggest problems with this desktop is the choice of storage. The Dell XPS x8900-2506BLK comes with 1TB of 7200RPM hard drive. This is enough storage space for most of the users out there. The disappointing part is the speed.

Using a solid state drive could have improved the speed by miles. Things like boot up time, the opening of apps and many more would have been a lot faster. If you can afford a bit more, make sure to add an SSD just to keep things a little relevant with time.

We said earlier that this desktop packs a discrete GPU. Yes, the graphics card here is the Nvidia GeForce GTX 745 which comes with a dedicated memory of 4GB DDR3. This is a mid-range GPU, and it can play any game without a problem. You will succeed in running even the latest and the greatest, but with reduced settings, though. A mid-range gamer won’t complain.

In terms of connectivity, you get every possible option out there. There are 10 USB ports, a 19-in-1 media card reader, an HDMI port and also a display port. The desktop also supports Bluetooth and Wireless internet which is handy as well.

Dell XPS x8900-2506BLK Review: The Verdict

The Dell XPS x8900-2506BLK is definitely a high-end desktop computer. It packs a punch with a Skylake processor, DDR4 memory, and a discrete graphics card. If you are rooting for a top notch setup, it can’t get much better at this price range. Highly recommended.

Design

The desktop takes a cue from a lot of other products out there. The design is sleek, simple, and everything a minimalist would love. If you are looking for something that would take up very little space on your table, then this desktop here is a serious contender.

From the front, you can see how fitting things are. The speaker grill is just below the display. This is great as sound will come in the direction of the user. The keyboard and the mouse are regular stuff and nothing special to boast about. The desktop weighs 15 pounds, so if you have plans to move this around, you can do with ease.

Dell Inspiron i3052-3620BLK Specs

The first thing you are going to notice is the massive 19.5-inch widescreen LED-backlit display. This screen comes with a resolution of 1600 x 900 pixels. This might not be that impressive, but the picture quality is pretty good. You can enjoy watching HD movies, videos taken on your phone, playing games and other kinds of media consumption as well.

The Dell Inspiron i3052-3620BLK Desktop packs an Intel Pentium N3700 processor. This is a quad-core processor that comes with a clocking frequency of 1.6GHz. But we have to say that this is only an entry-level processor. It runs the operating system smoothly and can take care of all your daily tasks and work schedules. You can also push the processor to do some intense stuff like video editing and other ones as well.

Dell Inspiron i3052-3620BLK desktop computerThe memory department comes with a 4GB DDR3L SDRAM. This amount of RAM is fine for the casual user to carry on with his multitasking. You can do a lot of stuff simultaneously without compromising on performance. You can also upgrade the RAM, but we don’t recommend it as the processor might become a bottleneck in terms of improvements.

For storage, you get a 1TB hard drive. This is a lot of space to store all your important files, games, songs, videos and other stuff. For a casual user or a student, it is going to take some time to fill this hard drive up. This is not the fastest drive out there, but at this price, you really can’t demand more.

This is not a gaming machine. It comes with an integrated graphics card and will allow you to do some light gaming. You might even be able to play some latest games but with reduced settings. If you obsess over frame rates, then the ones you get will drive you crazy. Go for serious gaming machines if you are an avid gamer.

There is an HD webcam in the front that enables you to make video calls, both official and personal. There are two USB 2.0 ports and an HDMI port that should help with your connectivity needs. There is no USB 3.0 port which is disappointing.

Dell Inspiron i3052-3620BLK Review: The Verdict

Overall, this Dell Inspiron i3052-3620BLK model is a good all-in-one desktop for light users like students, home users and similar people. If you are on the search for a simple, basic all-in-one desktop computer that doesn’t cost you much, go for it.

Design

The desktop comes with Dell‘s regular design we are so used to seeing. Make no mistake, the desktop looks good, and your first impression will be exactly that. For ab entry-level device, you can’t ask for more. On the front side, you don’t see a lot. There is an HD webcam that enables you to make video calls, and you can find the speaker grill right below the display.

At the back, there are a few ports that will come in handy. But the best thing on the back side is the stand. It does a great job in holding the desktop firmly. There is also a tray-load DVD drive on the right side as well. Overall, this is not an outstanding design but still works well.

Dell Inspiron i3052-5020BLK Specs

The display we have here is a 19.5-inch LED-backlit Truelife touchscreen display that comes with a resolution of 1600 x 900 pixels. This is an improved HD resolution that gives us a decent picture quality. The screen real estate is great for watching movies, tv series, and other kinds of media consumption as well. The screen is also big in terms of productivity. You can work on your office files effortlessly by opening two windows at the same time.

The touchscreen does a neat job. The sensitivity is good, and you can navigate the screen faster with the help of your fingers. With an operating system Win 10, you can get an excellent experience with a touchscreen like this.

The Dell Inspiron i3052-5020BLK is powered by an Intel Pentium N3700 processor. This quad-core processor has a regular clocking frequency of 1.4GHz that can be improved to about 2.4GHz with the help of turbo boost. Even though this is an entry-level chip, it belongs to the latest generation of Intel processors.

Dell Inspiron i3052-5020BLK desktopYou can carry on with your everyday tasks like browsing your favorite sites, social media, sending emails, streaming videos, and much more. You can also edit photos and videos as the processor can handle them to an extent as well.

There are four gigs of RAM in the memory department that support the processor nicely. This may not look like a lot of memory, but it does a good job when it comes to handling multiple things at the same time. You can run multithreaded applications as well which is a added benefit in having good RAM.

There is provision to upgrade your RAM, but we recommend not to as the benefits of doing so is very little.

For storage, you have an ample 1TB hard drive that should be enough for most of the users out there. This drive might be a tad slower than other ones in the market, but that is not a deal breaker in any way. The hard drive also comes with Windows 10 pre-loaded. It is the best Windows OS you can get right now and does a great job.

This desktop is not a gaming device. It comes with integrated Intel HD graphics and allows you to do some moderate gaming. You can play some mid-range games with reduced settings at best. If you are only a casual gamer, then this PC will do fine for your gaming needs.

The desktop supports both wireless internet connectivity and Bluetooth 4.0. There is a couple of USB 3.0 ports and a media card reader that should prove helpful. There is no HDMI port, and that’s a disappointment for many people.

Dell Inspiron i3052-5020BLK Review: The Verdict

That brings this Dell Inspiron i3052-5020BLK review to its climax. This is a budget all-in-one desktop, and it is worth every penny you are going to play. It also has the advantage of a touchscreen which is a nice addition in this price range. Get this one if you are looking for a neat AIO desktop with a touchscreen.

There are many gaming desktops out there in the wild. Some may work as advertised; some may be expensive than they should be and some may not be worth it. This new desktop is primarily aimed at serious gamers who don’t want to compromise but sadly stuck on a budget. This is not an answer to all your gaming woes, but still is a good option to do some real gaming without having to spend a lot of money. Read the full review and see if this is the one for you.

Design

The ASUS G11CD G11CD-US008T model has a neat design and will create a good impression on anyone who sees it for the first time. There is a gray and red color scheme that goes throughout the product, and it looks premium. It is not only all looks but also has a few usable points as well. There are a couple of USB 2.0 and a couple of USB 3.0 ports on the front. You can also find the optical drive and also the media card reader

You can also find the optical drive and also the media card reader on the front side. These ports give you good accessibility, and you don’t have to get up and reach the backside just to reach the ports there. There are a lot of spaces for ventilation on the both the sides and the back. This should help in keeping the desktop relatively cool. Overall, this design is a very practical one and is also good on the eyes.

ASUS G11CD G11CD-US008T Specs

The ASUS G11CD G11CD-US008T is powered by an Intel Core processor. This Intel Core i7 6700 chip is a 5th gen Intel processor that comes with a clocking frequency of 3.4GHz that can be increased with the help of turbo boost. We should also note that this is a quad-core processor that has enough power to run anything you throw at it.

This processor is fine with any kind of games as the sheer processing power is huge in this case. You can also use this processor for work to run system intensive tasks as it can do that as well.

There isn’t a huge memory here as the desktop is only equipped with 8 gigs of DDR4 RAM. This memory is good enough to handle any game, and you won’t need more in the majority of the cases. Even if you think you are lagging in terms of memory, you can always upgrade it later.

ASUS G11CD G11CD-US008T gaming desktopAt the heart of any gaming desktop, is the graphics card. Here we have the Nvidia GeForce GTX 960 which is a high-end graphics card. It comes with a dedicated video memory of only 2GB GDDR5. But the GPU is capable of running pretty much any game you want without any hiccups.

You can run some high-end games like Far Cry 4, Batman: Arkham Knight, Bioshock Infinite, and other titles as well. The frame rates will be fine as long as you run in high settings. If you want to go to ultra settings you might encounter some issues as the card only has a dedicated memory of 2GB. Otherwise, nothing to complain about.

To satisfy your storage needs, ASUS gives you a 1TB hard drive with an 8GB solid state drive in it. Yes, this is a hybrid drive, and it is slightly faster than the regular hard drives out there. You still might be better off if you could install a normal solid state drive along with this setup as it will help with speed also.

Windows 10 is the OS you have at your disposal. If you had like the versions of Windows 7 and before, this new OS will be a pleasant experience. They have removed the worst parts, and the OS is now clean as ever with new features.

The ASUS G11CD G11CD-US008T desktop also comes with built-in WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity as well. You will find all the necessary IO on the back side which should keep you covered.

ASUS G11CD G11CD-US008T Review: The Verdict

This ASUS G11CD G11CD-US008T review comes to a halt here. This is an excellent gaming device at this price range and offers you a seamless gaming experience. If you are looking for a compromise-free gaming desktop in this price range, grab it.
