Design

The desktop comes in silver color and looks very premium. It is not as bulky as the conventional towers we are used to. It is sleek and might take up less space in your room. The one thing we didn’t like is that there are no ports on the front, which means you’ll have to reach the back if you want to plug something in.

At the back, you get all the necessary ports and jacks you need for regular computing. The desktop itself is not that heavy. It weighs around 20 pounds, and you can move it around without any issues. Another important thing to note is that this desktop does not come with a monitor. So get yourself a monitor separately if you don’t have one already.

HP ENVY 750-177c Specs

The HP ENVY 750-177c features a Skylake processor and that alone makes this a contender in a sea of high-end desktops. The Intel Core i7 6700 processor comes with a clocking frequency of 3.4GHz that can be upped to 4.0GHz with the help of turbo boost. The processor also has an 8MB cache that should come in handy as well.

This is the best processor you can get your hands on in this price range. It comes with a lot of power and can run any software you throw at it even if it is system intensive. This is great for heavy users as they will have a need for a lot of power, thanks to their daily workflow.

The memory we have is a DDR3 RAM. The 16GB RAM is great for doing more at the same time. If you are a multitasker, then you’ll find this memory helpful in a lot of ways. The fact that it is also perfect for running multithreaded apps is just icing on the cake. You can also upgrade the memory to 32 gigs if you have a bottleneck due to the available memory.

HP ENVY 750-177c desktopIf you are wondering how much storage will I get, then the answer is massive. There is a 2TB hard drive disk that has a hell a lot of space to store all your games, videos, pictures, songs, and much more. The only issues here is the 5400RPM speed, and we highly recommend to add a solid state drive to get better performance from this beast.

The hard drive also comes with Windows 10 as the operating system. This is the latest OS in the Windows eco and you’ll find it more useful than the previous version with the addition of a number of new features.

There is no discrete graphics card in the HP ENVY 750-177c desktop. We only have integrated graphics and with Skylake, the performance of integrated GPUs has gone up a bit. With the Intel integrated 530 graphics in place, you can play most of the games without any problem. So if you are not a serious gamer, this GPU is good to go for now.

You will be able to remove any wires from your place as the desktop support both wireless internet connectivity and Bluetooth 4.0. There is also a Super-multi DVD burner that could be very useful at times. As far as ports are concerned, there are 4 USB 3.0 ports, 4 USB 2.0 ports, 2 HDMI ports, and also a multiformat card reader.

HP ENVY 750-177c Review: The Verdict

The HP ENVY 750-177c comes with some really impressive specs and definitely one of the best desktops you can get in this price range. If you in the hunt for a higher-end desktop computer, this is a good choice.

This gaming desktop is aimed at people who love playing games. Though high-end gamers may not find this completely satisfying, the mid-range ones will enjoy the device. If you are looking for a gaming desktop in the $1000 price range, then read this review until the very end.

Design

Alienware has redesigned their desktops and now they are sleek machines that look great. If you remember Alienware only for their bulky laptops, then it might be time to change your views. This desktop looks great from all the angles and the fact that you can personalise the light color adds a bit of a personal touch.

You can place the desktop both vertically or horizontally depending on your needs. The thing is that it fits in nicely without any problem. There are enough vents on the sides to let out heat. There is also liquid cooling that should come in very handy when you are in a hot gaming session.

The desktop weighs around 15.5 pounds, and it is easy to move around. If you are looking for a well-designed product that might be worthy of showing off to your friends, this is definitely it in terms of design.

Alienware X51 AX51R3-1510BLK Specs

Design isn’t everything, let’s take a look at the specs.

The Alienware X51 AX51R3-1510BLK gaming desktop is powered by an Intel Core i5 processor. This i5 6400 is a quad-core processor, and it comes with a typical clock speed of 2GHz. This processor belongs to the Skylake generation i.e. that latest generation of Intel processors.

It is an upper mid-range processor that comes with enough power to run all the games you need. It has a CPU Mark score of 6483 and that pretty neat. You can also depend on this processor for all your computing needs apart from gaming as well.

The memory in this desktop is made up of 8 gigs of DDR4-type RAM, and that’s fine for high-end gaming at the moment. Alienware gives you the freedom to upgrade the RAM to a maximum fo 16 gigs which, again, is a pretty good number. If you are a multitasker, you will be impressed with what this RAM can achieve.

Alienware X51 AX51R3-1510BLK gaming desktopThe graphics card the desktop comes with is the Nvidia GeForce GTX 745 with a dedicated memory of 4GB DDR3. This is a very good discrete graphics card for the price, and you can play most of the games at high settings without any problems. You can also upgrade the card, but we wouldn’t recommend that as you might have a bottleneck in performance from other components.

This desktop is not without its issues. The hard drive storage you get here is a 1TB drive. This is a 7200RPM drive and has a 64M cache. This looks all great at the beginning, but will start to slow down in time. There is no solid state drive that could have blown this away in terms of pure performance. If you are a fast guy, then this might be a minor issue.

The operating system in Windows 10 home edition, 64-bit. This is the latest operating system from the house of MS, and it comes with a several excellent features. The OS, for one, offers great support to games and is fluid. If you liked the previous Windows versions, then this one won’t disappoint you.

Connectivity is pretty decent. You get USB ports, an HDMI port and a display port. But there is no media card reader or Bluetooth which many will feel is important. Also, the desktop does not come with a monitor. You’ll have to get yourself one separately which is an extra step for some.

Alienware X51 AX51R3-1510BLK Review: The Verdict

This Alienware X51 AX51R3-1510BLK review touched on the pros and cons of this new gaming machine. It is a good buy for the price and will serve you well for a few years to come. Get this one if you are looking for a sleek desktop in this price range.

Dell XPS x8900-631BLK review

Are you spending more time on finding the perfect mid-range desktop during this festive season? Well, we are not sure if we have the right one, but we are close. In this Dell XPS x8900-631BLK review, we discuss this new desktop computer from the ever famous Dell. This desktop comes with a good set of specs and is also priced right for the category it is in.

This PC is targeted at both light and mid-range users who can get their things done easily. Being a desktop, it also offers you some perks like upgradeability which is not that common these days. If you are wondering if this desktop is a good fit for your needs, find the answer at the end of this review.

Design

The desktop takes Dell’s classic tower design and wears it gracefully. There are not many differences you will find here, and that’s a good thing. This is a proven design and why fix it if it’s not broken, right? On the front side, you get a few card readers and a couple of USB ports.

On the back side, we have the remaining ports and other IO as well. There is enough ventilation on the back side that will help us keep the desktop cool. This desktop is not heavy by any means. It weighs around 14 pounds, and you can move it around easily without breaking your arm.

Dell XPS x8900-631BLK Specs

Do note that there is no monitor here. You will have to get one separately or use the one you currently have. If you are not sure about which one to get, take a look at our monitor review page to help you decide.

The processor that powers this Dell XPS x8900-631BLK model is an Intel Core i5 processor. This chip is a quad-core one that belongs to the Skylake generation. It comes with a clock speed of 2.7GHz, and that can be improved upon with the help of the turbo boost functionality.

With a CPU Mark score of 6504, this processor finds its way into the upper mid-range category. This is a powerful processor that has the capacity to run any application or game. You can also run system-intensive tasks like simulations, programming and similar tasks.

Dell XPS x8900-631BLK reviewThere are eight gigs of DDR4 RAM in the memory department. This may not seem to be much, but you can do a lot with a memory like this. With the improved DDR4 type, there is now more speed and performance improvements. You can also upgrade this memory to a maximum fo 32GB, and that might be overkill in most of the cases (depending on your needs, though).

Let’s take a look at the graphics card. We have the Nvidia GeForce GTX 730 GPU with a dedicated memory of 2GB. This is a mid-range graphics card that does miles better than the integrated ones. You will be able to run most of the mid-range games at good settings without any issues. If you plan to run high-end games, then you will need to reduce the settings to achieve a decent frame rate.

For storage, you get a 1TB 7200RPM hard drive. This is better than the 5400RPM hard drive, but not by much. We still recommend you to add some SSD storage to improve the speed and performance of your system. Moving that out, you get a lot of space to play with in this HDD, which is a good thing.

The hard drive also comes with Windows 10 pre-loaded. This is the latest OS from Microsoft, and it brings in some exciting features like a brand new voice assistant, improved and revamped browser, and much more. You will enjoy using this operating system if you liked Windows 7.

There are no external speakers here, but the integrated 7.1 audio does a decent job. If you are serious about the sound you here, then get a pair of high-quality speakers. There is also an HDMI port that allows you connect your desktop with an HD display. The USB ports and media card readers will come in handy as well.

Dell XPS x8900-631BLK Review: The Verdict

We have reached the climax of this Dell XPS x8900-631BLK review. It is an impressive mid-range desktop computer for the price. It has a fine array of hardware components that will serve your well at least for a couple of years. If you are on the hunt for a neat mid-range desktop, get this one.

Dell Inspiron i3847-1697BK review

In this Dell Inspiron i3847-1697BK review, let’s talk about this new entry-level desktop computer that Dell has come up with. This new desktop is only meant for light/casual users as the hardware is cut out for them. Another advantage for first time PC users is that it is priced very low, so you can’t go wrong financially.

If you are looking to buy your first desktop or a light user who needs a computer for basic stuff, then this device should be of interest to you. Come, join us as we review to this new release and find out if this new product is worth your hard-earned money and precious time.

Design

This desktop is shorter than most other laptops in the tower model from Dell. It is slightly more compact as well. Other than that, you will find it hard to find any other difference in the design. That is not a bad thing, as a working, successful design can only good for the users.

A minor issue here is that there are no ports on the front side. So even if you have to stick up a USB drive, you’ll have to get up and find the ports on the back. Though there are enough ports on the backside, this can be a little irritating at times. There are vents on the sides that help with the process of ventilation.

The desktop weighs around 17 pounds. You can move this thing around without any issues. Another important thing to mention is that this is a standalone model. It does not come with a monitor, and you’ll have to get one individually.

Dell Inspiron i3847-1697BK Specs

The Dell Inspiron i3847-1697BK features an Intel Pentium G3260 processor with a clock speed of 3.3GHz. This is a dual-core processor that comes with decent power in its hand to cater for all your everyday needs. With a CPU Mark score of 3256, this processor can even handle some mid and high-end work when required. You will have a smooth experience with this Intel chip as the brains of your machine.

There are only 4 gigs of RAM in the memory department. If you are a light user, then this RAM is plenty. You can do more stuff at the same time. You can browse the web while downloading something and listening to your favorite song. This is just one thing, and the possibilities are endless.

Dell Inspiron i3847-1697BK desktopYou can also upgrade the RAM as this is a desktop PC. But the maximum RAM capacity is limited to 8 gigs, and that’s a bit of a bummer.

The 1TB hard drive comes with enough space for your games, movies, tv shows, songs, pictures and other important stuff. At this price range, you really can’t ask for a better hard drive. It also comes with the operating system pre-loaded.

Windows 10 is a brilliant improvement of the not so famous Windows 8.1. It comes with some exciting stuff like Cortana, Xbox streaming, Edge Browser and many more. If you are a Windows user who waited for a better version to come out, this is it.

This is not a gaming desktop, and it shows. The only gaming possible in this case is some casual gaming, thanks to the integrated graphics card. If you are a serious gamer, you can try adding a GPU or look for a different machine altogether.

The Dell Inspiron i3847-1697BK model wireless connectivity like WiFi and Bluetooth. There are 8 USB ports, an HDMI port and also an 8-in-1 media card reader. There is also a tray-load DVD drive for all you DVD lovers out there.

Dell Inspiron i3847-1697BK Review: The Verdict

This is an entry-level desktop and for this price, it is a good machine. The processor is a capable one and will cater to the needs of light users like students, home users, and others. If you are looking for a basic computer at a budget price, look no further.

Dell XPS x8900-944BLK review

We have seen several releases in the XPS desktop line from Dell. Each of them come with a separate specification that is tailored towards a particular audience. In this Dell XPS x8900-944BLK review, we are going to talk about this new upper mid-range desktop computer that comes with a pretty decent price tag.

This desktop is targeted at people who need some power to get on with both their work and entertainment. You can also end up playing some games in this desktop as well. If you are someone who falls in the above-said category, then read this review to the every end and decide if this desktop is for you.

Design

If you are familiar with Dell’s design, then there is no surprise here. The desktop comes in black with a conventional tower design. There are some really good positives like easily accessible ports, jacks and media card readers. But we have to accept that this design is getting a bit old, and perhaps it is time for a revamp.

The desktop is not that heavy, and you can move this thing around without a lot of effort. This is a standalone desktop and by that, we mean that there is no display here. You will have to get one from outside and be sure to get a touchscreen display as it might be the thing to get for the future years.

Dell XPS x8900-944BLK Specs

The Dell XPS x8900-944BLK comes with an Intel Core i5 chip. This new i5 6400 processor has a normal clock speed of 2.7GHz and with Turbo boost, it can reach up to 3.3GHz. This is a quad-core processor and can be classified as an upper mid-range processor. It gets a CPU Mark score of 6535 that confirms the same.

This new Skylake processor has the power to take care of some really heavy workload. If you are a mid-range or heavy user, then this processor will come in handy in getting your everyday job done. Even some really demanding programmes like video editors, simulators and others will run just fine.

Dell XPS x8900-944BLK desktopThe memory in a desktop computer decides how smooth your experience will be when you are doing many things at the same time. Here, we have an 8GB DDR4 RAM that is perfectly normal for a desktop of this calibre. You can multitask without any issues and this RAM is also nice for running multithreaded apps as well. You can also upgrade the RAM easily to a maximum of 32GB.

One of the most important hardware in this desktop is the graphics card. The PC comes with a Nvidia GeForce GTX 745 which can be considered a mid-range GPU by modern day standards. This graphics card is suitable for most of the online games and some high-end games as well. But the sweet spot is the mid-range games that run smoothly with excellent frame rates.

The hard drive we get here is a 1TB that comes with an operating speed of 7200RPM. This drive gives you enough space to load all your digital belongings and will hold good for the coming years. There is no solid state drive here and that might be our only complaint with this desktop.

Windows 10 is an excellent operating system and the main reason we suggested you to get a touchscreen display. Its new features will keep you busy and you will love this revamped operating system.

The connectivity department is well equipped. We have an HDMI port, a 19-in-1 media card reader, USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 ports, 802.11a/c, and Bluetooth connectivity. These options should be enough for the time being.

Dell XPS x8900-944BLK Review: The Verdict

That’ll be the end of this Dell XPS x8900-944BLK review and now it is verdict time. The new desktop from Dell is a solution to those who want a good, usable desktop in the mid-range category. It is full of power and checks of every box for all-round usage. Get this if you are on the hunt for a good upper mid-range desktop computer.

Design

This is one of the sleekest desktops you can find on the market right now. It comes in black with a custom light on the side. It has an excellent design and can fit in your room easily, thanks to its form factor. It can also be placed vertically or horizontally which helps the issue as well.

On the front face, there are a couple of USB ports and headphone jacks. These will come in handy as you don’t have to get up and reach the back. This model does not have liquid cooling which is disappointing to see. It only has air cooling, and though it does a good job, liquid cooling would have been better. The desktop also is not that heavy at 18 pounds which is neat.

Alienware X51 AX51R3-10BLK Specs

The Alienware X51 AX51R3-10BLK comes with decent processing power. It does not boast the latest and greatest, but only an i3 processor from the Broadwell generation. This i3 5015u is a dual-core processor that comes with a clock speed of 2.1GHz. Turbo boost will come in handy when you have the need for more power.

This processor is a good one in terms of power, though not as powerful as an i7 chip. It can run your games without any issues, and that’s a good thing. The processor is also suitable for running your everyday apps without any issues.

The memory department comes with 8GB of RAM. This is like the right amount of RAM in the mid-range gaming desktop. It allows you to run all your favorite games without any issues. You can also multitask your heart out and have many more tabs in your browsers now. If you think you need more memory, then opt for the model with higher RAM, and that would increase the cost, obviously.

The graphics card we have in the Alienware X51 AX51R3-10BLK is a Nvidia GeForce GTX 745. This graphics card comes with a dedicated memory of 4GB, DDR3 type. With this GPU in place, you will be able to play most of the games without any problems. This is very true if you are an online gamer. If you plan to play the latest games, we suggest you reduce the settings as it can get a bit choppy with higher settings.

Alienware X51 AX51R3-10BLK gaming desktopThere is a 1TB hard drive that offers you a lot of space to play with. This is not the fastest out there, but the best you can get in this price range. The hard drive comes with Windows 10 pre-loaded. This is the latest operating system, and you will fall in love with it for some cool features like Cortana, Edge browser, and many more.

One of the minor problems is that this is a standalone desktop. This means you will have to do the extra step and get a monitor separately. That is also going to cost extra, and it is not something you want when you are on a tight budget.

You also get all the essential ports in this desktop. There is the RJ-45 Gigabit Ethernet port, Alienware graphics amplifier port, USB 3.0 ports, an HDMI 1.4 port, and also a slot-loading DVD writer. Sadly, you don’t get a media card reader. The lack of Bluetooth also is disappointing.

Alienware X51 AX51R3-10BLK Review: Verdict

Thanks for sticking till the end of this Alienware X51 AX51R3-10BLK review. This is a neat gaming desktop for mid-range gamers. It runs most of the games without any issues, and online gaming is on point. If you are looking for an affordable Alienware gaming desktop, this is it.

Dell i3052-3020BLK review

All-in-one desktops are good for people who need a computer and want to avoid unnecessary clutter. In this Dell i3052-3020BLK review, we are looking at this new budget all-in-one desktop that looks like a good candidate for home and light users.

With a price tag under $400 and with decent specs, this is more of a simple desktop than one with bells and whistles. If you are looking for a similar computer, then it might be a good idea to read this review and see if this one is good enough for you.

Click Here to know more about this Desktop!

Design

This Dell i3052-3020BLK model takes the design cues from Dell all-in-one desktops on the market. It looks good, and the first impression is nice. It is not a huge device but is still bigger than your average computers. The speaker on the front face is a good idea as the sound will travel straight to the user.

The keyboard and the mouse are standard ones and are neat for everyday usage. You can find the ports for connectivity on the back side. The desktop weighs 15 pounds, so moving this around won’t be a tough task. Overall, this a well-designed desktop in this price range.

Dell i3052-3020BLK Specs

The main selling point of this desktop is the display. We have a 19.5-inch LED-backlit display with an HD resolution of 1600 x 900 pixels. This is better than the traditional HD resolution and offers more details when it comes to picture quality. This display is great for consumption of media like TV shows, movies, videos taken on your smartphone, etc.

The screen is also a touchscreen display. You can browse through the screens with your fingers, and the touch sensitivity is pretty good. To find a touchscreen in a device that is price this low is pretty surprising. With Windows 10 as the OS, you can have a fulfilling experience, thanks to this touch display.

The Dell i3052-3020BLK Desktop is powered by an Intel Celeron processor that clocks at 1.6GHz. This is an entry-level processor and is excellent for basic stuff and everyday activities. You can run apps like word processors, spreadsheets, casual games, browsers, and other ones as well. There might be some trouble in running high-end apps with a hiccup here and there.

There is not much RAM in the memory department. With the 4GB RAM, you may not be able to day extensive multitasking. But you can still run a few apps side by side and get more done in less time. With a widescreen in place, you can open up two windows using the snap feature and work on them simultaneously.

The 500GB hard drive is a good amount of space for you to store all your data. It will hold a good load of movies, series, games and other important information as well. The hard drive comes with Windows 10, so that takes up a bit of its space.

Gaming is not the primary objective of this Dell i3052-3020BLK model. It comes only with an integrated graphics card, and that is good for casual games. You may not have great luck in running mid-range and high-end games with this desktop.

From the connectivity standpoint, you get wireless internet and Bluetooth connectivity. There are also essential ports like USB 2.0, HDMI and others as well.

Dell i3052-3020BLK Review: Verdict

In this Dell i3052-3020BLK review, we went over the specs and told you what they can achieve for you. This is a budget device, and it delivers as a multimedia machine. If you are looking for a simple desktop computer that is good with multimedia, then go for it.
