It is not very small but still more compact that most of the desktops out there. It will not take much room and will fit in any room of yours. With a weight of 15.8 pounds, it will be slightly difficult to move around but if you don’t want to move often, then you’ve got a winner.

Also, this is a standalone desktop. There is no monitor attached to this PC. If you have a monitor, go ahead. Else, go through our monitor section and find a monitor that fits your need. As you will be running one of the latest Windows operating systems, get a touchscreen monitor if your budget allows it.

The memory here is an 8GB DDR3 RAM. This memory facilitates multitasking and gives you more freedom to run stuff the way you want to. You can run many apps at the same time without having to worry about the performance or lag.

This is a desktop computer and with it, you also get the option to upgrade your memory when you need more. You can upgrade to either 16GB or 32GB depending on your needs.  Though 8GB will serve most of the users well, some might find the need for more RAM.

The 7200RPM hard drive comes with a space of 1TB. You get a lot of storage from this hard drive and can store all your data including your movies, games, videos and pictures. The operating speed of the drive is also pretty decent and that adds up to the whole experience as well.

The graphics card in the HP Pavilion 550-040 is an integrated HD graphics card. This graphics card is good for moderate gaming and you can even play some of the latest titles without any problem. However, when playing some of the best graphically intense games you may have to bring down the settings to achieve a better frame rate.

The desktop supports both wireless internet connectivity and Bluetooth 4.0. There are 4 USB 3.0 ports and also a 7 in 1 media card reader which can come in very handy.

CyberpowerPC Gamer Xtreme GXi700 review

CyberpowerPC is known for its gaming machines. They provide both low-end and top-notch devices that satisfy all the sections of the crowd. In this CyberpowerPC Gamer Xtreme GXi700 review, we are taking a look at this new desktop computer that is a gaming device for people with not much of a budget.

This gaming machine doesn’t have many bells and whistles. The specs justify the price, and you get what you pay for. If you are a mid-range gamer who can’t afford a lot, then this is the review you should be reading. Read the full review and find out if this gaming PC can be your companion for the coming years.

Design

The first impression is pretty good with some LEDs on your face. The front face of the desktop cabinet is not the same boring kind that is a great plus. Initially, it looks like there is nothing in the front. But, when you open the front flap, you can see the DVD and some ports beneath it.

The insides of the cabinet can be seen through the side and that is kind of cool. You get a standard keyboard and a mouse that are more or less regular stuff. As this is a standalone PC, you don’t get a monitor along with this desktop. Feel free to browse our monitor section and find a monitor that suits your needs.

CyberpowerPC Gamer Xtreme GXi700 Specs

The CyberpowerPC Gamer Xtreme GXi700 is run by an Intel Pentium G3240 that clocks at 3.1GHz. This processor is way past its glory time and can be considered only as an entry-level processor by today’s standards. This chip, however, can run the operating system and the games you want without any problems.

It is also perfect for light users. You can download music, stream videos, work on your office docs, check your email and do a lot more with this processor. Though the processor might be a bit old your liking, it still can cater to your everyday needs if you are a light user.

The memory department is made of 8 gigs of DDR3 SDRAM. This is a decent memory when you are looking to play games. It enables you to play some of the best games out there without bringing lag into the equation. You also the have the option ot upgrade the RAM later if you feel the need for it.

CyberpowerPC Gamer Xtreme GXi700 Gaming DesktopNow for the best part of this CyberpowerPC Gamer Xtreme GXi700 review, the graphics card. The graphics card here is the AMD R5 M230 that comes with a dedicated memory of 1GB. From the spec point of view, this is not much. But this falls in the upper mid-range graphics card category.

You can run really good and graphically intense games with this GPU. Though the latest and the greatest games might not be that smooth, reducing the settings might give you better results. Even some older games demand this, but that’s how you can game in the budget, unfortunately.

The 1TB 7200RPM hard drive comes with a lot of space. You can store your games, videos, music, and other important stuff without any restriction. The hard drive also comes with a copy of Windows 8, 64-bit version. You can upgrade to the Windows 10 if you want and that too for free. A pretty sweet deal this, coming from Microsoft.

For connectivity, you have all the essential ports like USB 3.0 (2 in number) and USB 2.0 ports (6 in number). There is also a DVD writer that can be handy when you need to read and write DVDs.

CyberpowerPC Gamer Xtreme GXi700 Review: Verdict

Remember, this is a budget gaming device, and you get what you pay for. The processor and the GPU may not be top-notch, but it is better than an integrated graphics card’s performance. You can run most of the games, and if you think that’s not enough for you, you can opt for better (and more expensive) machines. Decide what you want and get it if it meet your needs.

There is enough processing power and memory to keep even the busiest of workers occupied.

If you are planning to upgrade your old desktop or just looking for a new desktop with some power, then this desktop should interest you. The pricing is also pretty decent which makes this even more gettable. So dive in and see if this desktop can serve you well and if it is worth the money.

Design

There is nothing unique in this design. It carries on with the old classic design that we are used to for years. Small disappointment there. The only thing you can see in the front is the power button. The USB keyboard and mouse are standard ones and nothing out of the ordinary.

You can reach all the essentials ports like USB, VGA and Display Ports at the back. With dimensions of 17.32 x 6.89 x 14.45 inches, this desktop weighs around 17.4 pounds. It does take up a bit of space, and you don’t get that compactness from a modern desktop. But it saves you some cash and brings in some power, so that’s not a bad exchange after all.

Also, there is no monitor. So make sure to find out the best monitor for your needs and get one.

Dell Inspiron 3847 i3847-8924BK Specs

The processor that powers this Dell Inspiron 3847 i3847-8924BK Desktop is an Intel Core i7 processor. This i7 4790 processor comes with an 8MB cache and clocks at 3.6GHz. The clock speed can be improved up to 4GHz with the help of Intel’s turbo boost.

This is one of the best processors in the Haswell generation. You can throw anything at this chip, and it will run it just fine. Running simple apps and complex applications are smoother which makes this processor a good fit for all kinds of users.

Dell Inspiron 3847 i3847-8924BK desktopThere are 2 x 8GB sticks that add up to 16GB of memory. This is a very good amount of memory and is perfect for heavy users. You can run many applications side by side without having any impact on the performance side of things. You can also upgrade to more memory if you feel the need for it.

The Intel integrated HD Graphics is the graphics card. At this price, it might be a little too much to ask for a discrete graphics card. This Integrated GPU does a good job when it comes to graphics rendering. You can also do some moderate gaming. You can play some good titles like GTA V and other similar games by reducing the settings. For casual gamers, this GPU will do justice.

There is a 1TB hard drive with a 7200RPM speed. This is a spacious hard drive and gives you enough space for all your games, videos, pictures and other important data. Dell should have included a solid state drive for the sake of performance, but its absence doesn’t hurt a lot.

Windows 8.1, 64-bit, is the operating system in the Dell Inspiron 3847 i3847-8924BK desktop. This is a decent operating system, but you can upgrade to Windows 10 for free in a few clicks. Windows 10 brings in some new features like Cortana and Edge browser. Despite the minor privacy issues, people seem to love this new OS from Microsoft.

As far as connectivity is concerned, you get USB 3.0 ports, an HDMI port and also Bluetooth connectivity. There is also an 8X DVD drive that can read and write DVDs. There is also some bloatware that some people might find useful.

Dell Inspiron 3847 i3847-8924BK Review: Verdict

The desktop is filled with superb specifications and comes at a decent price. This Dell Inspiron 3847 i3847-8924BK review should have given you a good idea about this product. For a mid-range user who is looking to upgrade, this is a very good choice.

Design

Dell calls this the mini-tower design. This desktop is just as big as any conventional cabinet at a height of 16 inches. But the difference here is that it is lot more polished and gives a contemporary look. There are a few ports in the front face making access a lot easier.

You can see the speaker grill in the front at the bottom. The ventilation is done through the outlets on the sides. The are a few more essential ports on the backside, and they are easy to reach as well. Overall, this new Dell model carries a very practical design without reinventing the wheel.

Dell XPS 8700 X8700-3135BLK Specs

Note: This model comes as a standalone one, meaning there are no monitors when you get this desktop. You will have to buy it separately. If you are yet to buy one, go through our monitor review section to find a suitable display.

Let’s talk about the processing power of this Desktop PC. The Dell XPS 8700 X8700-3135BLK is fuelled by an Intel Core i7 processor. This i7 4790 chip is based on the Haswell architecture and has a memory cache of 8M that is great for working on small tasks. It can clock up to a maximum of 4GHz that will give you the power to finish what you started.

You can run heavy and even system-intensive applications without having to worry about the performance. For a light user, this is a dream as everything opens and closes at an excellent speed.

The memory department is well equipped. There are 16 gigs of dual channel DDR3 1600MHz RAM, and that is a lot of RAM even for a heavy user (depending on the work nature). Multitasking can be done like a breeze, and you can open have more apps open at the same time.

Dell XPS 8700 X8700-3135BLK desktop PCAnother advantage (just like in every other desktop) is that you can upgrade/increase the RAM if you think you need more memory. This is handy for heavy and high-end users who do a lot of video editing and graphical work.

The graphics performance of the Dell XPS 8700 X8700-3135BLK is really impressive. This is due to the fact that it boasts a Nvidia GeForce GTX 745 chip that comes with a dedicated memory of 4GB. This GPU is also excellent for gaming as well. You can play some of the most recent games and pretty much all the mid-range games without any problems. In some cases, you might have to tone down the settings to get a nice frame rate in your favorite games.

Dells gives you a lot of space to work in its 2TB hard drive. The speed is also not bad at 7200RPM. You get a tonne of storage for all your movies, songs, videos, pictures, games, and other important data. This can only run out quickly if you already have a lot of data in your hands.

Windows 10 is the operating system, and it works like a charm. If you weren’t a fan of the metro UI, then this new OS will bring back the old memories, and you will love it. There are a bunch of new features to play with as well.

There are a number of connectivity options in the Dell XPS 8700 X8700-3135BLK. You get a 19-in-1 media card reader that can be handy at times. There are also USB 3.0 ports and an HDMI port that can be useful as always. There is also support for Bluetooth that makes pairing external devices easier.
