Design

The HP 22-3140 carries an excellent design language. It looks good, feel premium and everything you would want in a neat desktop computer. The desktop comes in a combination of black and silver. There is a stand that holds the display, and it does a fair job. One disadvantage here is that there is no way to tilt or adjust the height of the display.

The keyboard and the mouse are standard ones. They are wired and not wireless. The desktop should fit in your room nicely as it won’t take up a lot of space. The weight is also not that much which means you can move it around easily.

HP 22-3140 Specs

Let’s talk about the things that matter the most; the specs on this machine.

The first thing you are going to see is the beautiful display. We have a 21.5-inch screen that comes with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. This is a full HD resolution and the pictures on the screen will be sharp as ever. Yes, there are quad HD monitors on the market right now, and they are better, but at this price point, you can’t get anything bigger than this.

This display is a perfect fit for both work and play. The widescreen display can be handy when you need to do your official work. You can run two things side by side using the split screen function and shoot up your productivity. The display is also suitable for watching movies and TV shows in all their glory.

HP 22-3140 desktopAnother useful addition to this display is the touch functionality. You can now touch and interact with the on-screen elements with just your fingers. With an OS like Windows 10, this will be a very promising feature in the coming days.

The HP 22-3140 desktop is powered by an AMD A6 6310 processor that clocks at 1.8GHz. This is a quad-core processor that comes with a maximum clock speed of 2.4GHz that can be achieved with the help of the turbo functionality.

The processor gets a CPUMark score of 2375, and that puts this in a mid-range category. But there are 4 cores on this chip, and they help in a lot of things. You can do all your day to day activities like browsing the web, running office applications, playing casual games and other stuff as well.

There are four gigs of RAM in the memory department. This is not a lot in the current scheme of things. But if you are a light user, then this should be enough memory to get through your day. If you are a mid-range user, this memory might test your patience at times, but that’s all we’ve got here.

Gaming is not the best point of this HP 22-3140 desktop. It comes equipped with only an integrated graphics card in the name of AMD Radeon R4. This GPU is fine for casual games and even some mid-range ones. But for anything more that, you will have to go elsewhere.

There is a 1TB 7200RPM hard drive for storage purposes. This is a spacious drive that can help you to store all your precious data. The drive is also not that slow, but still is leagues behind when compared with solid state drives. The drive also comes with Windows 10 pre-installed. It is the latest and the greatest piece of operating system you will get on a Windows machine.

Connectivity is not a problem in this desktop. You get all the necessary ports that you will need on a daily basis like USB ports, HDMI port, and even a media card reader. The HD webcam will take care of your video calling needs. You can connect to the internet wirelessly as the desktop wireless LAN 802.11b/g/n featuring 2.4GHz  1×1 technology.

HP 22-3140 Review: Verdict

For a desktop in the $500 range, the HP 22-3140 does an excellent job. You get a beautiful 21.5-inch screen that is touch enabled. There is also enough processing power for users like students, business people, and other light users. If you are searching for a neat all-in-one desktop computer, this one is an excellent choice.

CybertronPC Palladium 970Z gaming desktopThe memory department boasts 16 gigs of DDR4 RAM. This amount is an impressive amount of memory and will help your gaming. But if we have to say one bad thing about this desktop, then the HDD is probably it. It’s because the hard drive is pretty slow in comparison with all the modern day solid state drives. You can also add SSDs as there are slots in this desktop.

Dell-X8700-1264blk

In this Dell XPS 8700 X8700-1264BLK review, we’ll take a good look at Dell’s new desktop computer. This new XPS model is targeted at mid range and high end users who need more power to get their job done. The desktop will also be useful for everyone else as it offers something for everyone in the family.

Are you looking for a neat desktop with good specs and a decent price tag? This could be the answer. Read this review till the end to find it out.

Design

Dell has stuck with their classic design for their XPS models. If it isn’t broken, why fix it right? The glossy finish in the front and the hexagon grill at the bottom add to the premium look. There are ports in the front which means you can access them with ease. You can also find some ports at the back.click_knowmoreThere is a gap for ventilation at the sides. With dimensions of 17.49 x 7.3 x 16.01 inches it is surprisingly light for a desktop at 23 pounds. We can assure you that it doesn’t take up a lot of space and will fit in any room like a glove.

Dell XPS 8700 X8700-1264BLK Specs

There is no monitor attached with this desktop. You’ll have to get a display separately and we recommend you take a look at our monitor reviews to find one.

The Dell XPS 8700 X8700-1264BLK is powered by an Intel core i7 processor. This i7 4790 processor clocks at 3.6GHz is definitely one of the best processors around at this point. This Haswell based processor is just what the doctor ordered for a high end user.

You can throw anything at it and it will handle it like a boss. Even system intensive stuff like running a virtual is handled with ease, thanks to the sheer power of this i7 chip.

Dell XPS 8700 X8700-1264BLK reviewThe processor is well complemented by the memory department. We have 8 gigs of RAM and that is a pretty good amount of memory to work with. You can run many applications at the same time and elevate the way you multi task.

You can also upgrade the memory you have at any point in the future which is a great advantage in having a desktop in this period.

For storage, you get a 1TB 7200RPM SATA hard drive. This is a faster hard drive and can fetch data at good speeds than the traditional hard drives. 1TB of space is a lot of space and it is difficult even for the hardcore user to fill it up with ease (unless he has hell a lot of data already).

The operating system that comes pre-installed with the hard drive is Windows 8.1. This is the latest operating system in the Windows ecosystem. You also can upgrade to Windows 10 for free once it releases this summer.

This Dell XPS 8700 X8700-1264BLK review won’t be complete if we don’t talk about the graphics card in the system. Here we have an Nvidia GeForce GT 555M graphics card. This is not a great graphics card by any means but is definitely a better one than the integrated GPUs.

The GPU does a good job as far as rendering and moderate gaming are concerned. You can play high end games but will have to tone down the settings a bit which will result in lower frame rates than usual.

There are many connectivity options. There desktop offers support for Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity. There are 6 USB 3.0 ports which are great for external connectivity as well as quick data transfer. The 19-in-1 media card reader will also come in handy at times. The HDMI is there to help you when you need to hook this desktop up with an HD display.

Dell XPS 8700 X8700-1264BLK Review: Verdict

This Dell XPS 8700 X8700-1264BLK desktop is a good choice for a personal computer both at home and work. It has the hardware that can help the mid range and the high end users to get their job done. If you are looking for a rightly priced desktop with good specs, this is it.

Dell Inspiron 23-5348 Review – 23-inch All in One Desktop!

9:16 PM Add Comment
Dell-Inspiron-23-5348

The new Dell Inspiron 23-5348 is an all in one desktop from the house of Dell. This is a mid range desktop that comes with a competitive pricing. It is primarily targeted at the light users and also mid range users.

The desktop is designed to take care of all your daily day to day tasks. If you are someone who is searching for an all in one desktop that can cater to your everyday needs, read this Dell Inspiron 23-5348 review till the very end.

Design

The design of this new all in one desktop is minimalistic. Don’t mistake me, it is very good looking. The bezel on the sides might be a little too much for ones liking but it is not a deal breaker. The speakers below the display are front facing which is a nice thing as the sound is directed right at you.

Click Here to see what other users are saying!

You can find all the essential ports you need at the back. The stand is pretty sturdy and holds the monitor well. The keyboard and the mouse are of usual standards and nothing special here. The desktop weighs around 23 pounds which isn’t too heavy.

The most important design element is how compact the entire setup is. You can fit in your desktop pretty much anywhere in your room. It only takes a little bit of space even with a 24 inch monitor. This is a win for us, in terms of design that is.

Dell Inspiron 23-5348 Specs

The Dell Inspiron 23-5348 monitor is a 23 inch LED-backlit monitor that comes with a full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. This is a lot of pixels and as a result you get a very good picture quality. Watching HD movies and other media will be more awesome than before. The widescreen display is great for productivity as you can open many windows and get stuff done fast and effectively.

This is not a touchscreen display so that’s one not-so-good thing here. Having a touchscreen display would have meant a lot of things. But we still think that this isn’t a deal breaker considering how good the display is.

Dell Inspiron 23-5348 reviewThe Dell Inspiron 23-5348 all in one desktop is powered by an Intel Pentium processor. Yes, you read that right; it is powered by a Pentium processor (latest gen) that clocks at 3.2GHz. Though this processor is not in line with the processors from the ‘I’ series, it still is a good processor for light desktops.

It runs the operating system smoothly. You can run any application you want without having any performance issues. Even though this is a light desktop, you can enjoy editing photos, playing games and working on your office docs without any problems.

The memory department comes with 4 gigs of DDR3 RAM. This is good to run multiple applications at the same time. For a light user, it is very difficult to use more than 4 gigs of memory at a time. If you really think you need more, then you can upgrade your RAM in the future. For us, this memory works just fine.

The hard drive of the Dell Inspiron 23-5348 comes with 500GB of space. You can store all your games, pictures, videos and other stuff you treasure without any restriction. The hard drive come pre-installed with Window 7 professional which is another reason to be happy about.

You can upgrade to Windows 10 for free. If you think that Windows 10 will be a lot better than Windows 8 or 8.1, then that would be a wise move.

The next thing we’re going to see in this Dell Inspiron 23-5348 review is the graphics department. The graphics card here is an integrated Intel HD graphics card. This is good for graphics rendering and playing casual to moderate games. If you are serious gamer, then you should consider getting a gaming desktop.

There is a tray load DVD drive on the side which can read and write for you. There are 5 USB 2.0 ports and a couple of 3.0 ports that’ll come in handy. There is also a HDMI port in case you have to connect this with a high end device. The desktop also supports wireless standards like Bluetooth 4.0 and 802.11b/g/n.

Dell Inspiron 23-5348 Review: Verdict

This is a very good all in one desktop for the price. You get full HD display which gives you an excellent picture quality. The processor and the memory combo will help you with all your everyday activities. If you need a simple all in one PC without the bells and whistles, this is a good choice.

Click Here to see what other users are saying!

Design

The design is very similar to the previous envy models. For people who are not familiar with it, it comes with a nice glossy front which screams premium. It has a nice finish and also well-placed ports in the back. You can find the ventilation in the sides of the cabinet.

The desktop weighs around 20 pounds so makes sure you don’t move it often. Overall it’s a very good design for a desktop and there is nothing to complain here.

Hardware

You don’t get a monitor here as this is a standalone PC. If you don’t have a monitor already, then we recommend you to take a look at our monitor section and find a suitable one.

The HP ENVY 700-515XT desktop is powered by an Intel core i7 4770 processor. This is a 4th gen, quad -core processor and is one of the best processors for a mid-range desktops. Yes, there are 5th gen chips in the market right now but the difference in performance is very little.

This processor can help you run simple apps like word processors, spreadsheet apps and even some high-end applications like Photoshop and Matlab. Even system intensive tasks can be done without any lag in the performance.

The memory department comes with a memory of 8GB DDR3 RAM. This is a decent memory for a mid range user. Not all of us will use the 8 gigs at the same time. With this memory, running multithreaded applications has become easier. It can also take your multitasking to the next level and improves your productivity.

Since this is a desktop, you can upgrade the RAM to up to 32GB if you want to. The processor is a capable one so any upgrade will surely improve the performance without a doubt.

The hard drive comes with a capacity of 1TB. This, here, is a drive with a speed of 7200RPM. This is better than the 5400RPM hard drive but not as good as the SSDs. HP could have included an SSD as it might have helped the performance a bit.

The operating system is Windows 7 64-bit version. People who are not fond of Windows 8 will absolutely love this. If you need the latest OS, then Windows 10 release is just around the corner. Reserve your free Windows and upgrade to it once it releases.

The graphics card here is a dedicated Nvidia GeForce GT 720 graphics card. This GPU comes with a memory of 2GB is supports gaming to a very good extent. You can play most of the recent games without any problem and yes, you can game with this desktop.

As far as connectivity is concerned, you get the essential ports in the form of USB ports. There is also a super multi DVD drive that will come in handy for reading and writing. There is also support for wireless connectivity as well apart from the regular Ethernet connectivity.

HP ENVY 700-515XT Review: Verdict

This is a mid range desktop computer. It can help you with your day to day activities and also give you the power you need for high-end work. At this price, this is a good offer to pass on. If you are looking for a decent mid-range desktop then this is a good option.

Dell Inspiron 3646 i3646-1600BLK Review

The new Dell Inspiron 3646 i3646-1600BLK is an entry-level desktop from the house of Dell. If you are a light user, then this is possibly the cheapest deal you can get with decent specs. This entry-level desktop PC is mainly targeted at people who need a simple machine for their day to day activities.

This can also be handy as a backup desktop. So when your main machine fails you can just hook this up and work on your files. Either way this is a very cheap solution which can’t go wrong. Read this full Dell Inspiron 3646 i3646-1600BLK review if you want to know more.

Design

There is nothing new in the design. It takes the old classic dell cabinet which has been around for some years now. The good thing about that is that it is a proven design. Even though the cabinet is kinda small, there is space for ventilation at the sides which keeps the PC from getting too hot.

The power button is located in the front and everything else can be found at the back. The ports are easily accessible as well. An advantage with this particular design is that it is lighter than most of the desktops out there. It just weighs around 11 pounds which is great for a computer.

Hardware

There is no monitor here. So we’ll assume you already have a monitor or will get one separately. If you need a new one, take a look at our monitor section for some good recommendations.

The heart of any computer is the processor. Here, the Dell Inspiron 3646 i3646-1600BLK PC is powered by an Intel Celeron J1800 processor. This is a dual-core processor that clocks at 2.58GHz. It has a 1MB cache and is an entry-level processor.

The processor does a good job in the running the operating system and other applications smoothly. Remember that this is a machine for light usage. You can do your everyday activities like browsing the web, streaming videos, sending emails, working on office docs and other stuff without any issues.

Dell Inspiron 3646 i3646-1600BLK desktop SpecsThe RAM here is a 4GB DDR3 RAM. This is like the minimum these days, but you can do a whole lot of stuff with it as well. Running many things at the same time is lot smoother and easy as well. You can increase the RAM capacity as it is user upgradeable but we recommend not to as the advantage you get is not that significant.

The graphics card in the Dell Inspiron 3646 i3646-1600BLK desktop PC is an integrated graphic card. This Intel HD graphics card is good enough for rendering graphics. As far as gaming is concerned, this is not the desktop you want. You can only do some casual gaming and without doubt high-end games like GTA V, Far cry 4, and Witcher 3 is off the cards.

There is a decent amount of space in the 500GB hard drive. This is a 7200RPM hard drive so the speed is good. You can store anything you like without having any restriction. Even if you materials that can fill this thing up, getting an external hard drive would be a cheaper solution.

The connectivity options include the 802.11b/g/n wireless and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity. There is a tray load DVD drive which can read and write DVDs for you. There are USB 3.0 ports at the back which can be useful for really fast data transfer. There is also an 8-in-1 media card reader which might come in handy for a lot of people.

Dell Inspiron 3646 i3646-1600BLK Review: Verdict

This is a light desktop and it is perfect for your everyday stuff like sending emails, checking your social media, watching Netflix and other similar tasks. The price is really cheap and it can’t get any better. Go for it if you are a light user or if you need a reliable backup machine.
